An original hand colored print titled:Hessen-Darmstadt. Mannschaften, Offizier, Garde du Corps. 1809. It is Band VIII, Plate 21, Uniformenkunde Gesamtverzeichnis no. 382, from the Uniformenkunde series of 1060 plates created by Richard Knotel to illustrate world uniforms from the 17th century to just prior to WWI.
The plate is from the original 1897 printing by Max Babenzien in Rathenow.
The condition is as shown in the product images which are photographs of the actual plate. The plate is in poor condition with discoloring and crumbling around the edges. There are several pieces of repair tape on the back to support the edges.
